# Edit Woocommerce Sorting text

 * Hello,
 * I’ve recently edited the sorting texts in the woocommerce shop I’m working with
   but wasn’t able to locate where to change the “Sort by Random” text. I edited
   the other sorting texts on Woocommerce > includes > wc-template-functions.php,
   and from there, I cannot see the “Sort by Random” code.

 * On my basic theme with minimal plugins I don’t have the “Sort by Random” option.
   So that makes me think its not coming from WooCommerce.
 * You could do a text search of your theme and plugins for the string ‘woocommerce_default_catalog_orderby’
   to look for some code that is using the filter to add the option. Alternatively,
   temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and switch to the default
   theme. Random should be gone. Reactivate one-by one to try to identify where 
   its coming from.
 * When you’ve found it, note the domain in the “Sort by Random” string function,
   then you can change it with Say What? in preference to changing code because 
   that would make updating difficult.
