• I have an “in touch” window for editing my posts, but the width goes all the way into the right sidebar of Post Plugs, Categories, etc. which have blue bars that float over top of the toolbar. I need to get to the More tag (split post) icon, and cannot access it, or HTML source icon, etc. I can’t find out WHY this is happening or how to fix it. It just started one day inexplicably. What can I do about it? Very frustrated!

Hello? Is anyone there? I am still having this problem and I can’t believe I am the only one! Please tell me how to adjust the width of my edit window so I can access the toolbar icons. It is important, thanks.

Did you try another browser or another computer?
Maybe it is related to your own settings/computer…

Thanks – but no, it doesn’t matter about the browser. Have not tried another computer. On this computer, whether it is firefox or IE I have a perfectly fine edit box that expands in the next phase to have the toolbar buttons and they go UNDER the blue bars on the right. What settings on my computer would affect this, which is just in WordPress? I can’t deal with this, because of the necessity to use the Split post function, particularly, so I don’t know what to do. I have two blogs, and it does not happen with the other blog (virtualhelponline.com) so I don’t think it is my computer. It might have to do with the version of WP (they are different) – I guess I am going to have to give up getting any help with this since it seems to be my own problem.

unfortunately, it is very hard to narrow down what the problem could be without seeing it. You might try comparing the code between the two version on the same include file for the edit post function. You might find that the width’s are inconsistent. Also, check the CSS files and compare the tags that manage those properties.

Try using the web devloper tools in firefox to help narrow down the particulars.
