First issue: uploaded a new gallery image, image displayed full size in the gallery thumbnail page rather than thumbnail size.

Second issue: realised I couldn’t active the ‘edit thumb’ option. Clicked on it and it did nothing.

Third issue: updated to latest version of WordPress. Now the entire series of links that should appear under the thumbnail in the back end (view, meta, edit thumb etc.) are totally absent.

@andy – We are just now aware of the missing links issues for managing thumbnails under Gallery > Manage Galleries. We will be working on a correction for that as soon as we can.

The other issues may now be related so we may not be able to offer any suggestions until the “edit” part is sorted out.

    Thanks!

@andy – Thanks, we’re working on getting this sorted out as soon as possible.

I am bitten by the same bug (thumbnail edit links no longer visible).
Please make it a high priority or show us a workaround!
I have now many picture where people are shown with their head off πŸ™
I reverted to several older versions (2.1.10 and 2.1.0), but it still doesn’t work.

@caco3 – We have this corrected and are still internally testing the release where this fix will be published in.

Otherwise, please start your own topic so we can try to help you with your specific issue on your specific site.

    Hi Cais,

I have an interesting case. Two almost identical web sites, one that does not have this problem, one that does.

    http://www.architecturalvisualisation3d.co.uk/ (has the problem)

    http://www.architecturalvisualizationseattle.com/ (does not)

Not sure if this helps you guys out in any way. Problem site has latest WordPress compared to the other site, but that was updated after the issue.

@andy – I would suggest looking at those sites to see what specifically is different about them (aside from the content *grin*) and see if one (or more) of those differences is causing the issue.

We also have a new release just around the corner, you might also consider waiting for that, then updating to see if that helps to sort matters out. We’re aiming for later today or Monday …

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

Is there an update coming soon? The issue of not being able to update thumbnails is holding back work.

@dumel – The update was released this morning, it fixes the thumbnail editing links not appearing on hover.

    Thanks!

    Thank you very much!
For me it works again as expected!

    Hi Cais,

So I’m back to my original problem now which is that when I click on ‘edit thumb’ it does nothing and any image I add ends up full size amongst the gallery thumbs on the front end.

How would you like me to proceed with this issue?

    Working! Thanks so much πŸ™‚

    @caco3 & @dumel – Thanks for the updates!

@andy – What do you mean by “it does nothing”?

    – Cais.

    Cais,

I mean that when I click on ‘edit thumbs’ absolutely nothing happens. No pop-up, nothing.

The only buttons/links that do what they’re supposed to are ‘view’ and ‘delete’. All others do nothing.

@andy – Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
