Each time you do a “submit” it will go back to page one, but you should always be able to use the arrows to go to the page you want.
I agree, it would be better if it remembered the page you were on, but you should still be able to edit items on other pages.
But it did not make the change. Only way I could make the change was to extend page one to include it.
OK, now I see that the change appears to be saved, but seems to get lost at some later point. There may be a caching issue involved. I’ll certainly look into that — thanks for letting me know.
I’ve looked into this further, and it seems the problem I mentioned above was just due to something in my testing setup. I can’t reproduce this effect.
Can you explain how you knew it “did not make the change” — are you talking about seeing the change when refreshing the “Manage Items” view itself, or in a spreadsheet download or some other way?
I went to page 2 selected the one to change clicked on it box then selected edit items, did batch whatever it is, the item was presented I then edited item then then clicked batch selection, it would then it went to page one.
I am not near my computer to see what the actual box or button names are.
Same thing I did when I made them all on page one. I will check again when on my computer

I went in today to se what was going on and try changing another one just to see what happened. I went to page 2 checked the box beside the first item on page 2 selected edit the uploaded data and then apply . Now instead of showing me just the one item to change it want to page one and showed all of page one and nothing to edit. If I select an item on page one it presented the item to be changed and and made the changes.
I have the latest EW version.
So you weren’t able even to reach the edit page. That doesn’t sound right.
Have you checked your server log files for errors? If you haven’t changed it, WordPress defaults to logging php messages in wp-content/debug.log.
It may also be a good idea to check for javascript messages. In Chrome, right-click in the page, select “Inspect” and go to the Console tab. Other browsers have something similar.
Also, does this happen with every webform, or just the one?
Yes all forms and tried 2 browsers Chrome and Microsoft edge
here is a screen capture after I select and image and then apply it took me back to page one and no editing ability I selected just one item on page 2
this is from Microsoft edge Inspect

I do not have access to the club server I only look after the clinics
I don’t see the problem on my own test site. To check, I tried another I have access to, and that worked fine, too. But then I tried our club’s live site and see exactly the behavior you are talking about!
These things that work on one site but not another can be tricky to debug. It may take a while, and I have a very busy week coming up, but I’ll do my best.
Im OK here I figured a work around and it is our last clinic this year

For the site I’m dealing with, the problem turned out to be a caching plugin that someone had activated.
Caching is a difficult issue when you have users logged in. But if you really need to cache, and it causes no other problems, I’d suggest just deactivating such plugins while editing uploaded data like this.
I check with our web master to see if we have such a program on the web site .
