Support » Plugin: Subscribe2 » Edit "Subscription Confirmation" Page

I would like to edit the confirmation page subscribers are brought to after they confirm subscription.

Right now it says “You have successfully subscribed”

I want to put a download link on this page if possible as I offer a free ebook if they subscribe and it’s been a pain to send it a out 5 or more times a day. Since the plug-in does not allow to select specific subscribers and attach a file to send via email I want to edit that page after they confirm subscription.

When I click my edit icon on that page it brings me to the default page for the 1st message they are given after they enter their email and before they confirm subscription which is strange because there is no where on that page that says “You have successfully subscribed”

Is there a way to do this?

  • @murray644,

Subscribe2 needs there to be a page on the site that is used for giving this message to your subscribers, it is part of the installation instructions and it recommended that you create a page to handle subscriptions.

So, my suggestion would be to write another page for Subscribe2 to use, add your link in there and then change the Subscribe2 settings to use that page for displaying confirmation messages to your users.

I only see one place on the plug in to choose a page, right now this is set to a page I created for after they originally enter their email so after i create a second page how do tell the plug in to direct subscribers there AFTER they confirm their subscription since right now all I can find for page choices is that one choice but again that’s for after they enter their email to the widget

There is only one place to define the page for Subscribe2 and your new page will show in the list after it is created.

The option for the Widget is contained within the Widget settings that are shown when you expand the widget on the widgets page in WordPress.

Right there is only one page but 2 instances where subscribers are directed to a page.

    1) they enter their email address into the widget and are redirected to a page. This is the page I created and chose through Subscribe2. It says please verify your subscription. I DO NOT want the download link on this page as I want them to verify 1st.

    2) HERE is my problem. Once they check email they click on the link to verify subscription and are re-directed to a page that says : “You have successfully subscribed” I want to edit this portion. However when I click to edit the page it brings me to page in #1 That says “Please verify…..” and there is no text that says “You have successfully subscribed” that I can edit!

Right, so you want this link hidden as well. The only way you can do this is by editing the code as that is where the text “You have successfully subscribed” is defined.

That text is contained in the load_string() function in the classes/class-s2-core.php file on the line starting “$this->added =”. You could add your download link in there by editing the code.

    Perfect! Thanks!

You’re welcome. 🙂 I got there in the end, thanks for your patience.
