    Hi,

I have problem using Edit Related Posts feature of your plugin. When I logged into my site as admin, on the frontend there is a link below list of related posts. After I click this link, I get a window with drag&drop feature to choose which related posts I want have visible for current post. Everything looks OK, but after I click save button, page is reloaded, but I still see previous related posts instead of recently selected posts.

I also checked console in Firebug, but there is no related error. I had this problem also with version 2.6, but after I enabled Theme Options checkbox on Related Posts Settings page, everything works fine. After upgrade to current version 2.7 this problem appeared again and I can’t solve it. Downgrade to 2.6 didn’t help, also I try to unistall and install plugin again and it still not working.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

    Hey!

Thanks for reaching out! The issue you’re describing with the “Edit Related Posts” button we have under your blogposts is -unfortunately- still not quite there where we want it to be. While it does work in some browsers (i.e. Chrome and for a max. number of 5 related posts or less), this is not the case on other browsers and under other circumstances. Rest assured, we are already working on a fix, but as it is with other updates we have in line — we cannot give you any certain dates when it’ll be released. Please bear with us!

And please do not hesitate to let me know if there are any other problems you might find (let’s hope not, though!) or if you have any questions — I’ll gladly help!

Once again — thanks for the heads up & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo

    Hey @myso182!

We just wanted to let you know that we have brought back the ‘Edit Related Posts’ button with our latest plugin version. You should be able to see it under your blogposts, after you update it in your WordPress’s Dashboard.

Also — we are very interested in how and why you chose to use Edit Related Posts. Would it be possible to have a quick Skype call one of these days? We’d just like to ask some very general questions about your use and it won’t take too much of your time. Any feedback is more than appreciated!

    Here’s my email address: support@zemanta.com

Thanks & I’m looking forward to your reply!

    Best,

    Hi Silvo,

to be honest, We stopped using Related Posts plugin about three weeks ago. We have also problems with SSL (I wrote you about it in this topic: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/related-posts-and-https?replies=4) and We created our own solution for showing related posts which are now selected by similar tags.

An important part of our website is e-shop which is available in three different languages. We used Related Posts plugin for showing Recommended products on product’s pages. There was a SSL problem and we need Edit Related posts function, because sometimes plugin generates link to same product but in different language (We are using Polylang plugin for translating posts and pages). And it was also too difficult to edit related posts for hundred of products…

I still think your plugin is really good, but it seems that it wasn’t a right choice for our project. However, your support was really perfect and I really appreciate it. I hope We will use your plugin in the future for our next projects.

    Regards,
    Myso
