If you think it’s related to a plugin conflict, I can go through and disable and start adding one at a time till i find something.
I don’t want to hijack this post, but I too am having this issue. I noticed it since the latest WP update to 4.3. but it could have been before and I didn’t notice (only similar plugins to above are: Yoast, Page Links to and Askimet).
My Pesto Fries recipe is awesome but it has nothing to do with Mocha Cashew Cookies, ha ha! (probably picking up the nuts in both)
Anyone have any ideas?

thanks for the list of plugins. Don’t bother disabling them, I am pretty sure it is the theme. I will try to find what we did on a similar user case – I just need to find it. It is difficult as Canvas is not free to use theme, so I can’t take a closer look.

sorry we are really short-handed lately, so to be honest I completely forgot to reply :/
But I did manage to test the Graphene theme and the “Save and Close” optioned worked (in 4.2 and 4.3 WP version). So I have tried installing some of the plugins that were mentioned above and the first problem arose when I installed the “Easy Noindex And Nofollow Version 1.2” which completely broke my test blog. On my new test blog, I installed more or less all the other plugins except Easy Noindex and the saving/changing still worked.
The only other idea is if you have any special browser extensions installed?
And the other idea is if would be possible to make me a guest account on your blog, so that we can investigate this further? If you agree, you can send those credentials to support[at]zemanta[dot]com. Oh, and I don’t miss/overlook the emails like conversations here, promise!
