Edit Post – Not Allowed

    As a non-admin user, I can create posts with newly uploaded photos and I can attach existing images when editing posts.

    However, when editing and upload new images, I get the error:
    Sorry, you are not allowed to attach files to this post.

    I’m confused as to why I can upload new images when creating the post, and can edit the post by adding images which are present in the media library, but not upload when editing.

    Any suggestions @shabti?

    What role is the user trying to upload the images? Author or any non admin?

    @shabti The roles in question are custom non-admin ones.

    Funnily enough, I’ve just been looking into that and am in the process of defining capabilities for my CPT, which I can then assign to those roles.

    I’ll know if it works very soon 🙂
