When editing the Capabilities of a new role I created, I have granted access to Edit Plugins but the list of my site plugins does not appear in the left WP menu for this role.

    Hi @49erfan

If you want to open the Plugins page, you should also grant access to Activate Plugins capability. However, in case you want to have access to each plugin, I’m afraid that you need to grant Manage Options capability.

Hi @caseproof, I don’t want this role to have access to the actual Plugins page but access to a certain plugin (Front End Users, in this case). I simply need my client to login in, then access this FE Users plugin (no other plugin or menu pages) to approve members who have registered to access a restricted page.

I selected both Activate Plugins and Manage Options but this obviously gave access to the Plugins page itself and the Manage Options just enabled the Tools menu item with only the Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data options displaying.

Please note, that Members doesn’t have section for each plugin. Plugin authors can add admin areas using any capability they want, including custom capabilities. If you know which capabilities are required to access that plugin’s admin area, you can assign those capabilities to a user/role.
Also, many plugins create admin settings pages using a native capability associated with administrators, such as manage_options. Granting a capability like this can have unintended consequences, such as giving users the ability to see a lot more in the admin.
