Even with all plugins deactivated and only the Yoast plugin activated this happens
It drives me crazy
We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. If we understood correctly, when you attempt to edit the front page of your website, it doesn’t open the editor page but redirects to a product page. Let us know if we misunderstood anything.
In order to better assist you, we’ll need more information. Can you please quickly record a video in which you highlight the issue so that we can understand it better? How to include screenshots or videos?
Yes,
In the: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
Edit the front page
Front page editor is not opened but a random product is opened
Thanks for your confirmation. The issue you’re currently experiencing is very odd. To see what’s going on, we’d like you to please perform a full conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.
You can find the full conflict check guide here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
Yes I had installed this health plugin and completely destroyed my website. Could not access the admin anymore and had to recover a backup
We are sorry to hear that you had trouble with the Health Check plugin. In this case, we recommend you please create a staging site where you can perform the full conflict check by disabling all the 3rd party plugins except Yoast SEO and switch to the 2021 theme to find out the exact cause of the issue without affecting the production site.
It seems to have issues with the theme
When activating the theme is happens.
Thanks for your confirmation. In this case, you’ll need to find out what’s exactly causing the issue in the theme. You may want to reach out to the relevant support for further assistance as well.
Well, When I use another SEO plugin it works perfectly. So I have deleted the Yoast plugin Since it really seems the yoast plugin creates troubles (You can argue is it the Yoast or the theme). You can both point to each other that’s fine. I dont want to be in the middle. So I have deleted the Yoast and installed the ALL in One SEO plugin and that seems to work out of the box just fine.
We’re sorry to hear you’re not using the plugin anymore but we understand your decision if it immediately resolves your issue. If you aren’t using the Yoast SEO plugin anymore though we’re going ahead and setting this to resolved but if you should need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know.
