edit multiple post options and more

I am new to wordpress, but I did look over these forums before posting this question. I tried several things, but nothing worked.

I recently added a left side bar to my main page. This displays advertisements.

I want to add the advertisements to every post as well. However, the only way I can see to do this is to go in and “edit” each post individually to show “both sidebars”. Surely, there is an easier way?

Secondly, the left sidebar I added is too wide and the content part is now too narrow.
