Edit Media?

    Hi,

    I am trying to set the capabilities for a staff member so that she can edit media in products, posts and pages (specifically cropping images). However, I wasn’t able to find anything in the capabilities list that contained “media” or “images”. Please, can you tell me how to do this?

    Hi,

    ‘upload_files’ allows to add new items to Media Library by default. The same capabilities as for the posts (edit_posts, edit_published_posts, edit_others_posts, etc.) are used for other functions, like edit, delete, etc.

    Hi Vladimir,

    Thanks very much for your response. I’ve spoken to her since I sent this message and it turns out she was able to edit post and page images no problem, it was only products (woocommerce) where it wasn’t letting her edit them. Any ideas what might be going on there?

    By the way, I’ve just noticed that the permissions she’s got have changed since I saved them. Her role is Shop Manager. Perhaps it’s a role created by WooCommerce, WCMP or WCFM. But yes, I got quite a shock seeing that she suddenly has all sorts of permissions…
