Field Type "select" is missing from the list.

    Previously i set fields to use the “select” Field type.
    Now i see there are only “checkbox” “dropdown” etc.

    What to do?

    I tried to choose “Dropdown”, but when i save i get a blank screen.

    I uninstalled the latest version, and installed 2.7.7 , and it works.
    I can now add dropdown fields

    Is this a bug in the new version?

    I don’t think “select” was ever in the list. “Dropdown” is a select input field, but I used the term “dropdown” because when designing admin interfaces for WP, you have to keep things basic and there are a great many users that do not know what a “select” field is.

    That said, the behavior you described may be related to an upgrade in 2.8.1 for parsing out the select values. It uses the php function str_getcsv, which is in PHP 5.3+. Do you know what version of PHP you have?

    I’m putting in a patch in 2.8.2 that allows backward compatibility for str_getcsv.
