Ok, I actually figured that out. BUT, I would like to exclude a product from the discount. It looks like that’s availalbe, but I can’t see it. I’d also REALLY like to see the email before it’s sent out. And, the coupon will just automatically show up in my coupons?

    Hi,
Sorry missed… your post here but responded via your Twitter msg…

You edit the email templates in the same way you edit any emails within WooCommerce. See their docs for more info on that, but seems you figured it out anyway. We have tags you can use in the email…

{offer_code} – The discount offer code that the customer should use for the offer
{offer_amount} – The discount amount that the code provides
{offer_expiry} – The date the discount code expires

To see an email, I’d recommend placing a test order.

To exclude a product, edit the product and scroll down to the product data box. Click the Advanced link and the exclude option is in there.

A coupon code will be created and visible to you when the offer email is sent. Just remember that this is not created until the email is sent so if your settings dictate that offers are sent after 3 days of the order, then the coupon will not be created until that time either.

An update was just released to address a bug with existing products.

It would be nice if you could set the time to like 1/2 an hour — that way the test could go through quickly?

🙂 I actually removed a 2 minute timing recently. I will add something back in today for you

I have just released an update with an testing option to send the NOD after 5 minutes.

Note though that we use hourly cron tasks to actually generate the emails so it could take up to 1 hour for you to receive the email

So, now my problem is I have had multiple people buy since I installed it…. will they all get their email at the same time as me?

Also, anyone can use the code, right? I ha e this for them to give it to a friend.

Unfortunately due to a bug that was resolved yesterday, people who purchased a product that you had not edited since installing will not receive an offer.

If you had edited the product, they will receive their offer after the period you had specified in settings. Changing the time to send offer to the new 5 minutes setting, will only apply to orders taking place after you change to 5 minutes. Orders already placed will be bound by the previous setting.

You can have yourself copied in on NOD emails. There is a setting in the Emails section of woocommerce settings.

Well, i did a test sale and it didn’t work. I have it all set to go. I waited an hour and 20 minutes, nada. 🙁
Anyway, I’ll keep my eyes open, I’d love for this to work!

Are you running the latest version?

Also, with the customer email address you used to make the purchase, is this that customers first purchase or have previous purchases been made using that email address?

I’d need to see your settings to be able to advise more.

DARN it, I had bought before with this email. Shoot. Oh well…. I’ll try it again soon. 🙂
