Edit Author Archives/Pages?

Hey. I have an author page but as you can see it is very bland and just lists the posts done by the author. I was wondering how to “spice” it up, like pull up the author’s avatar, maybe a description, things along those lines. What files do I have to edit and what functions do I have to use?
