    Hi,
Wordpress is V4.1-en_AU & Edit Any Table is 2.1.1
I’m attempting to use Edit Any Table to change the site ID. Database & WordPress are on a local windows server. I’ve entered localhost as the server name (which is in wp-config.php, database, username, password as per wp-config.php, however I have this message Unable to connect to your external database on the configuration page. I also tried the local IP address of the server but that also doesn’t work.

How do I connect to the database to enable me to change the site ID please?

Hi – I’m sorry but this plugin has only been tested on standard linux installations. I can only assume that the issues you are facing stem from the fact that you are running WordPress on a windows server. I imagine it’s just a matter of identifying the correct server name which may be along the lines of <windows server name>/localhost but without access to your system it would prove almost impossible to identify the correct syntax.

    Thanks, I will.
I’m leaving the plug-in active to keep retrying different options. I’m currently looking for a different editor that is known to work with WordPress under Webmatrix & Windows 2012R2

    Hi RedEye,

I changed the user to root & entered the root password instead of the database user & password related to that user & database and I got it to work in my WIndows installation.

    Thanks. Its a cute plug-in
