• When I edit through an existing entry, I don’t go back to the entry after editing is completed, I stay in the dashboard. Previous versions may have done this as well, but, I do remember a version that would put you back on your blog.

Is there a way to fix this, if not, maybe in future versions?

    Thanks,

    Sara

  • Did you ever notice that the yellow bar says: “your post has been updated, more editing below or GO BACK” (or something similar)? Click on “go back”.

Yes, I know that I can do that. Thanks. It used to do that automatically though. Weird how it’s changed.

Well, that ‘go back’ also works when you made a selection for in the manage posts screen for example, so I like it. Besides, I prefer to be in the dashboard when I’m logged in instead of looking at the site itself, so… Everyone has his/her preferences 🙂

I have to agree with the OP here. If I edit from the Dashboard, I would like to return to the Dashboard. But if I edit directly from the site, I would like WP to remember where I cliked Edit from and return me to the site. I also remember a version where that’s how it used to work.

Same goes with a subscriber logging in and getting thrown into the Dashboard. For what!?!!

I have no problem that different people like to do things differently, but the choice should be there in Settings. ;o)
