Analytics data for my client http://www.surisuri.dk stopped flowing with the 2.0 release.

I didn’t know the new plugin version would only work with gtag (that’s how I understand your FAQ and other support answers), but I have changed from a manual implementation in header.php to using only your plugin for global analytics as well as WooCommerce tracking.

    This is my current situation

    • The gtag script is present on all pages including cart, checkout and thank you page
    • After purchasing through 3rd party (QuickPay) the client is redirected to /order-received
    • The gtag script is picking up traffic but not ecommerce data. No change has been made in the Google Analytics settings since the plugin was implemented the first time.
    • Ecommerce settings in GA are of course still activated.
    • There are no duplicate or deprecated GA scripts. Only one gtag.js script inserted through your plugin
    • Static, dynamic, memcached and CloudFlare cache has been cleared multiple times.

Google Analytics hasn’t picked up conversion data for 48 hours now, but by the looks of it, everything is setup correctly.

I have invited you to view the analytics data.

    Hi,

    Thank you for sharing access!

We have checked everything & all looks perfect but we found javascript error on the “thank you” page of your store which stops the execution of our plugin on “thank you” page (screenshot1) (screenshot2).

Kindly look into it & resolve it. It’ll resolve your issue.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi @tatvic

    Thanks for a quick response.

That javascript is coming from a common Danish packaging label plugin. I have no idea how to edit that, and I’m not sure they would make any edits. Have you made a lot of changes to your plugin in 2.0? Your plugin has worked perfectly fine alongside this label plugin from last year up until now.

We haven’t made any major changes in our plugin. Just transfer from Old UA script implementation to “gtag” implementation so ideally, it’s not possible that issue is by our plugin.

We suggest you to contact Danish packaging label plugin team to check it once. Send them the errors, they might be the right guys to help you to resolve the error.

    Hope this helps!

Okay. I have reached out to them already.

Can you explain why it’s preventing the execution of your script? I’m just curious here. 🙂 I really appreciate your quick response to this issue.

Our plugin is using javascript to send the data in GA but if there are some javascript errors on the store, it conflicts with our javascript because javascript is loading asynchronously.

    @tatvic

    Got it.

So i have implemented a temporary fix in the Pakkelabels plugin. There are no longer javascript errors on the order-received page. I have made a test transaction and will check in later on Google Analytics.

Pakkelabels will ship the fix in the next plugin update.
