# EBD dependent plugins

 * Cannot get current Download Monitor (1.9.5) to work. Have messed with it for 
   4 days(without EBD) and it keeps returning a 500 Internal Error
    Then saw that
   EBD recommends using an older DM version that is no longer maintained. Why would
   you do that? It’s definitely not compatible with wordpress 4.7. It will probably
   mess up everything else on site. Time to look for another option.

 * You should use the latest Download Monitor. Ignore that note about the old Download
   Monitor — you don’t have to use that (I would remove the note if I could, but
   I’m not the plugin author). Anyway, it works just fine with the latest Download
   Monitor.
 * I have not heard of anyone getting 500 errors from Download Monitor. Did you 
   look in your webserver error log file to see what message was getting logged?
   That usually leads you straight to the problem. Did you open a support item on
   the Download Monitor forum by chance?
