EasyRotator: Installed, Configured, but Not Working (3 posts)

    Hello,

    I hate to ask, but I am confused. I've got the EasyRotator plugged in. Was working fine until I executed a CSS update, and then the whole page got reconfigured. Page is back up, but the Rotator is screwed up. It is still plugged in. But the pictures are not rotating and the captions are missing.

    I don't know how to fix it. I want the Rotator in the header. A few pictures are already set there. Though the picture changes when I go to a different page on the site, the pictures do not rotate.

    When I open a new page, the EasyRotator button IS in the toolbar. It opens fine and asks me to select a Rotator to insert. But I've already got one inserted; it's just not working properly. So I launch the editor feature. All the pictures that I want in my Rotator are there; no problems with that. I select the presentation layout; again, no problem. I save and exit. The next page is that I am back at the "Select a Rotator to Insert" window. I refresh the site and, uh, nothing. The changes or edits or confirmations don't stick.

    If anybody can provide me with specific steps on how to remedy this, I would dearly appreciate it. Thank you.

    Mike

    Also, when I play the Rotator Preview, it works fine. It's just not showing up in the header of my site.

    I've been following this guide here. I went ahead and created a second rotator. I got the code. That link tells me to paste the code at this backward arrow, question mark, and php, which I found at the very bottom of the header.php. <?php easyrotator_display_rotator('erc_00_xxxxxxx'); ?> I pasted it. I updated it. And I got a weird error message. Does anyone know how to proceed, and if you do can you help me? Thanks.

    Below is what the bottom portion of header.php page looks like:

    // Compatibility with versions of WordPress prior to 3.4.
    if ( function_exists( 'get_custom_header' ) ) {
    $header_image_width = get_custom_header()->width;
    $header_image_height = get_custom_header()->height;
    } else {
    $header_image_width = HEADER_IMAGE_WIDTH;
    $header_image_height = HEADER_IMAGE_HEIGHT;
    }
    ?>
    <img src="<?php header_image(); ?>" width="<?php echo $header_image_width; ?>" height="<?php echo $header_image_height; ?>" alt="" />
    <?php endif; // end check for featured image or standard header ?>

    <?php endif; // end check for removed header image ?>

    <?php
    // Has the text been hidden?
    if ( 'blank' == get_header_textcolor() ) :
    ?>
    <div class="only-search<?php if ( $header_image ) : ?> with-image<?php endif; ?>">
    <?php get_search_form(); ?>
    </div>
    <?php
    else :
    ?>
    <?php get_search_form(); ?>
    <?php endif; ?>
    </header><!-- #branding -->
