EASY way to remove sidebar in style.css ?

    i am having trouble recalling a quick (copy & paste) css command that i’ve used several times to completely remove the sidebar from a site.

    it was something like #sidebar {display:none;} ? actually, i recall putting two commands in the style.css editor to do this

    i am using wp weaver theme and the command whould also work on twenty ten.

    surprisingly this quick, easy sidebar fix (which i know exist) has not been easy to find on the wp support forum therefore i bring it up.
