I’m using Restrict User Access v0.13. Is there an easy way to disable / enable an Access Level?

For example, I’m updating a site to only show certain content to members; non-members get redirected to a “Join” page. RUA is working well for this. But I need to keep all content visible until we “go live” with the new feature. I’m not seeing any easy way to disable an arbitrary Access Level. Is there a technique or trick that works well to do this?

It is possible to schedule and deactivate a level in the UI, but currently it has no effect when restricting items for users.

Obviously this should be taken into consideration, so it is now on the roadmap.

Right now perhaps it could be solved by creating a new temporary level and synchronize it with “Not logged-in” users and let it extend the other level.

Thanks Joachim. That’s just the creative sort of work-around I was looking for.

Great to hear that it solved the problem for now.
