Easy updates manager not working
-
I have 2 websites. both are up to date. Installes Easy update manager on a new site and it is not working! I have compared settings of the 2 websites and they are both the same. I have tried deleting and reinstalling with no luck. Woocommerce continues to update with the plugin activated.

Hi,
Apologies for the delay
Is there any entry corresponding to the Woocommerce update captured in the EUM update logs. This update logs can be accessed via theLogs
tab on the EUM plugin. Normally, if EUM has captured the update an update log entry of Woocommerce should be listed in there and you can click theStack Trace
link text to show more information about the update. Could you let us know what’s written in there?
Thanks
AnthonHello,
I am sorry I did not see your response. I checked the log file as requested and there is nothing there. No data. I deleted and reinstalled again and the same issue remains. Thank you for your assistance.
Hi,
Apologies for the delay
Does it only happen to Woocommerce plugin?, Is your website hosted on a managed WordPress hosting?, if yes, you might want to look at the backend panel on your hosting side and see if automatic update for plugins (in this case WooCommerce) setting is enabled or not. If there are no update logs captured for the Woocommerce plugin being presented on the Update Logs tab, it’s likely the update was performed from outside your website.
Thanks
AnthonThank you for your reply. No website is not hosted on a Woocommerce platform. I have another site on same server and plugin works fine. Configuration is the same for both. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling. Same problem. Thanks.

AnthonI went to Site Health as instructed however there is no “Info” tab. I did find the following.
Background updates ensure that WordPress can auto-update if a security update is released for the version you are currently using.
- Passed No version control systems were detected.
- Passed Your installation of WordPress does not require FTP credentials to perform updates.
- Passed All of your WordPress files are writable.
- Error WordPress security and maintenance releases are blocked by the
allow_minor_auto_core_updates
filter.
Site health is showing updates are blocked but this means nothing. Website updates plugins etc. whenever they are available. As I mentioned previously, I have 2 websites hosted by the same company. Setup for Easy Updates plugin are identical. One works perfectly and the other is not working. Thanks.
Version is 9.0.18 which was updated a day or two ago even though the plugin is configured not to auto update.
Its been 5 days and no response? Should I delete Easy Updates and look elsewhere?
Hi,
Apologies for the delay, could you please let us know what hosting provider you use for the webiste, also what plugins are installed and active on the website including PHP mu-plugin files that are located in the
wp-content/mu-plugins
directory. It’d be more easier to get this information from theSite Health
tools.
Thanks
AnthonBoth websites are using the same server, same plugins, same woocommerce version. Both sites are identical other than the URL. One site Easy Updates is working. one is not. As I stated in a previously unanswered message please provide an email so I
can send website health information. Thank you.
Hi,
According to WordPress forum rules we have to deal with all requests relating to the free plugin in this forum. We are not allowed to provide an email or to ask you to contact us (it’s there rules not ours).
We need to follow these rules to stay in the WordPress repository and to continue to provide the free versions of our plugins.
You expect people to buy your product when your support is so poor? Obviously I have learned a lesson! It shouldn’t take 3 weeks to resolve an issue. Franklly I’m glad I spent nothing with you!!
