• I have been working on websites for fun and profit for over a decade. I’ve tried my fair share of caching plugins. They all have their pros and cons. Some are easier to configure than others.

Cloudflare is so useful when it comes to layering on security for your WP website, but it can be tough to configure caching properly. When you use this plugin with the Cloudflare integration turned on, it creates and manages a rule that configures caching. I was able to remove three caching rules and still significantly increase my website speed.

If I need to give critical feedback, it’s this: integration with more popular plugins and/or more documentation around best practices for exclusions for more popular plugins. Super Page Cache detects if you have WooCommerce installed and will add URL path and cookie caching exclusions so that they aren’t cached. That’s awesome, because caching Woo is always tricksy 😀

Figuring out the exclusions for other dynamic plugins can be a bit time-consuming. For those new to WP, this knowledge gap might get blamed on Super Page Cache, but if you spend the time to research all your cookie and URL exclusions, you’ll get some sweet speeds.
