Very user friendly plugin to change fonts and colors for the theme. Very detailed settings to change almost everything on your site.

It’s ideal for non-coders. Selecting colors with the color picker is a breeze. The preview of the (Google) fonts makes it very easy to choose a nice font from the list.
Changes made can be seen in the browsable preview of your site so you can exactly see what you are doing, before saving the changes. Nice to play around with all the features.

I am also very satisfied with the fast support from the plugin author in case of problems.

    Hi Rivanni,

Thanks for using Styles, and for taking the time to share your thoughts!

    Google Font Previews
It sounds like we’re on the same wavelength for what changes should be made in the near future. 🙂 Google Font menus with previews exist in very few places, because there are complex challenges in creating them. For example, see this thread on ThemeForest where many professional theme creators struggle with methods of just keeping the font list up-to-date, nevermind providing a preview!

All the same, we haven’t let a lack of solutions from others stop us from tackling this problem. I’ve been working hard to create a Google Fonts solution that can be used by all developers — automatically providing image previews, search, and auto-updates to the font list.

This feature is almost ready to go out in Styles! It’s in final testing now, and here’s an animated preview of how it works.

In the meantime, you can see live previews of the fonts (with custom text!) at google.com/fonts.

    Sections
We spent a lot of time making sure the names of sections are as consistent with WordPress default terminology. In most cases, the section names are based on what you see in menus the WordPress admin. When that’s no available, we named sections after terms that are most commonly used either in the WordPress documentation, or code of the default themes.

The organization certainly isn’t perfect, and we’re looking for ways to improve it all the time. Regarding your specific example, (Header Image vs. Header), it’s important to note what Styles is creating, and what is created by the theme itself. Here’s a screenshot that shows the different sources of options.

    Stability & improvements
While it’s technically possible in some ways to move around options created by the theme, but when we weighed the option, we just saw too many ways were this could either be confusing for users who had used those options in their original place, or worst-case, it could corrupt settings and crash users’ sites!

We want to make things as easy to find as possible, but our #1 priority to keep your site as stable and reliable as possible. If we have a suspicion that doing something might break your site, it’s no longer an option for us. That was the case for grouping default options into Styles groups.

I hope that helps clears things up! I really value your input, and hope this response and our efforts to improve might earn us your final star. 😉

    Hi Rivanni,

Today’s update to Styles adds font previews and live search to the font drop-down menu. Here’s a screenshot.

I hope you’ll try it out and share your thoughts!
