    Since Easy Digital Downloads v3.0.0 attendee details are no longer saving correctly. All attendees have the same email and name as the purchaser even though in the shopping cart I can go back and edit them successfully.

    It would appear that you haven’t updated the plugin to reflect the new methods which are compatible with both EDD v2 and v3:

    As an example:

    ./src/Tribe/Commerce/EDD/Main.php:577: update_post_meta( $order_id, $this->order_has_tickets, '1' );

    This is incorrect, it should be:

    edd_update_payment_meta( $payment_id, 'your_meta_key_here', 'your meta value' );

    Please can you confirm when this will be resolved, you can see from the date of the article that this was notified over 18 months ago!

    Event Tickets 5.5.4
    Event Tickets Plus 5.6.3

    I’ve read through the code and can confirm you’re definitely methods which are compatible with EDD v3 and above. I’m happy to test any updates on our staging site.

    Hi Abz,

    Thank you for the response. I just wanted to reply to highlight that I think you are misunderstanding the issue. I know that I can go back and edit the attendees pre purchase.

    If you then click purchase, the attendees do not get saved and instead all the attendee information is replaced with the purchasers.

    update_post_meta, get_post_meta no longer works with EDD v3 and that’s how you’re saving the information.

    To be honest, given it’s been 18 months, I am more than a little surprised this has neither been picked up or fixed. Currently my site cannot accept orders.

    Hi @johnnyjohnboy, thanks for providing the version and theme here. I am curious, could you try updating the theme to 3.9.4, and see if that makes a difference?

    I already shared the details you provided here with our team. Our devs will be taking a closer look.

    To be safe, we’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

    It’s actually quite frustrating that you think a theme version would affect the fact your plugin is not compatible with with the current major version of EDD.

    I can see from your own plugin code that you are using depreciated methods with EDD announced over a year ago and simply need to provide a fix as soon as possible as this is causing harm to the business.

We’re trying out and suggesting different things that could potentially show more details regarding this issue or if there are related to other plugins or themes that were highlighted by our devs, as we were not able to replicate it earlier.
