Easy Digital Downloads URL slug and BTF

    Hi guys,

    I have searched the forum but there seems to be no one with an issue the same as mine. I have an e-commerce store using Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) plugin. I want to filter the search results using Beautiful Taxonomy Filter (BTF). The main issue I have is the URL slug.

    When EDD is installed, the default archive page for all shop items is found in the URL yoursite.com/downloads. When I filter using BTF, the URL becomes yoursite.com/downloads/downloads/category/product-name.

    In other words, the word ‘downloads’ is repeated in the URL. This is not endemic to just one website, I tried it with another e-commerce store and the word ‘downloads’ still repeats.

    Can someone help me with this? I have tried saving the permalink under settings to no avail

    Hi @mrbrightside00

    Hmm your issue is most likely because EDD already does something to the urls of the shop. So essentially BTF and EDD are incompatible “as is” right now.

    Could you post the URL to your site where this issue is for me to debug?
