Easy Digital Downloads Emails Are Not Being Received

    I tried to submit a support ticket via the EDD website but their form doesn’t allow uploads of .txt files and trying to submit a pre-sales question also returns an error. I tried in Chrome and Safari.

    My issue is with emails configured in the free version of the EDD plugin. I have configured purchase emails to be sent when a purchase is completed. I have tried with various emails and purchases. All purchases are in a testing environment but are marked as complete. I have followed the troubleshooting guides on the EDD website but to no avail. I have WP SMTP plugin installed and have confirmed that emails from other plugins are sent and arrive. My debug logs show that an email request was sent. The plugin is on the most recent version.

    I need some assistance in either 1) contacting their support team or 2) figuring out how receive emails upon purchase

    Hi @litllessons

    Sorry for the challenges you’re having with the support form. I just verified that the support form accepts .txt files and I’ve also added the upload field to pre-sales questions.

    Regardless of all that, you can always reach out directly by emailing us at support@easydigitaldownloads.com as well. If you do, be sure to add your system info file from Downloads > Tools > System Info – There you can download the file and attach it in your email.

    Some things to check (since I don’t see a system info I’ll toss a few ideas out to check before you email us)

    Are you using the Download Email Attachments extension which attaches your files to the purchase receipts that get sent? Sometimes those can get blocked if the file sizes are too large.

    Have you ensured they aren’t ending up in Spam?

    Which SMTP plugin are you using and does it have logs?

    How have you configured your SMTP plugin to send? Via a service or via an authenticated SMTP server?
