Jan Dembowski – sorry if I broke a rule – the plugin creator did ask on an earlier thread to let them know if there was a problem with this plugin. Thing is – we have resolved the issue, by removing all files that were added to the site on a particular day.

However, the worrying thing is that the plugin got added to our site erroneously. Either the client did something by accident and added your plugin in by mistake, or there is another Plugin with the same name as yours masquerading as EAA. Or another plugin was vulnerable and pulled your Plugin in with it.

If you want me to send some of the files over that were infected, just let me know.

So, there were two things going on. First, don’t use the reviews for support as that’s just not cool. I know you didn’t mean any ill will but too often people are “fix my problem or the review gets it!”

That wasn’t you but you do have an issue so here we are. That’s why I archived your review that way.

Second is that I don’t have anything to do with this plugin. I’m a moderator for all of the forums here. Thomas’s support is top notch BTW. 😉

I’m glad but just in case give this a read.

Please remain calm and give this a good read.

When you have successfully deloused your site then consider giving this a read too.

    The links are very useful.

I know the author doesn’t add anything anywhere. He’s very reputable so my guess is that the client did it inadvertently or as you say, someone is pretending to be this plugin as it does have good support an reputation.

    Hi bloohair,

    thanks for opening a thread.

I am very interested in taking a look at anything that indicates that Advanced Ads could be involved in your client’s hacked site.

You can send them through https://wpadvancedads.com/support/.

As I mentioned earlier, I have seen a lot of misunderstandings and am happy to help to clarify things.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
