Support » Plugin: Easing Slider » Easing Slider stopped working – Genesis Outreach Theme

Last week I discovered that the Easing Slider plugin – which worked fine for several weeks after I built a homepage slider on both this live site (https://awakening-together.org/) and a corresponding (staging) development site (https://awakening-together.org/dev2/) – appears to have stopped working, now showing only the shortcode [easingslider id=”21442″] where previously the 4-slide slider appeared and worked just fine for a month or so… Thinking it might have been a recent plugin update that was no longer compatible, I disabled ALL plugins except Easing Slider on the dev2 site, and that didn’t seem to help. I then restored a full (file and DB) backup from over a week ago (when another user and myself both saw it working fine) and that didn’t seem to help either. I even tried replicating the slideshow with another plugin (Meta Slider) which now shows “[metaslider id=”21436″]” instead of the slider which ALSO looks just fine in preview mode. Both of these sliders seem to work fine on other sites I use them on, and keep up with plugin updates. Any suggestions as to why the “Home Top” widget area suddenly just shows the shortcode instead of running it? I can see an archived version (14Sep2017) of the site working (except for 2 missing slides) here:

Thanks in advance for any clues!

Resolved: I just used the “Slider” widget (which I hadn’t noticed before” instead of a Text widget and it works fine now. 🙂
