• I have some screenplays of released movies that I have permission to post on my blog for others who would be interested to learn about screen writing. Most of the screenplays are in word or pdf…

Is there an easier way to publish screenplays in a post? Usually screenplays are 90 to 120 pages long and I am not sure what is the best way…

    (1) Some suggest just put a download link for each screenplay
    (2) Some suggest looking for a WordPress plugin that will allow scrolling of just the screenplay inside the post (did not find such a plugin so far)
    (3) Some suggested I ask here for best answers… so here is my seeking for advise post 🙂

  • Were it me, I’d convert the word files to pdf (not all of us have MSWORD) and I’d post links to the pdf files until I could figure out how to be do 2) which is a big challenge. If you should happen to hit some DB limits like max size of a post’s content or you get very clever with AJAX and php and MySQL and plenty of server resources. Otherwise you’d have to break the scripts into bite size pieces of posts/pages. How you do that would be a pain, either for you (editor) or the programmer.

The other advantage to students is that the PDF doesn’t require a further web connection beyond the download.
