# Easier Remote Authorization Gmail

 * I work with client websites, like many of us do, and most of those customers 
   really shouldn’t be messing around in the backend of managed sites.
 * But when we set up a website to send messages using the client’s email address,
   the process usually requires me to have them log into the website backend, authenticate
   their email address, and then log them back out. That gets even harder when I’m
   not in the office with them, and honestly, it shouldn’t be necessary for this
   process to work.
 * I’d love to be able to send the client a link they can click to approve the OAuth
   request, then have it redirect them to a simple approval page that doesn’t require
   access to the website backend.
 * That would make it much easier for webmasters to keep clients out of the backend
   while still letting them authorize the app to send emails properly.

 * Thank you for sharing this suggestion. We understand the use case, especially
   for agencies and webmasters managing sites remotely where the client should not
   need to access the WordPress dashboard just to authorize Gmail.
 * The previous Google OAuth method that allowed authorization through a simple 
   copy-and-paste flow is no longer supported by Google, so the current process 
   requires the authorization to be completed through the registered OAuth flow.
 * That said, we agree that a more convenient remote authorization process would
   be very useful. We’ll forward this as a feature request to our team for consideration,
   particularly for agency and remote-client workflows.
 * For now, the available options are to have the client authorize the account once
   through the current flow or use an SMTP provider that supports API-key authentication
   instead of OAuth.
 * Thank you again for taking the time to share the suggestion. Feedback like this
   helps us identify improvements that can make the setup process easier for our
   users.
