    My site & page: http://www.apprenticetochiron/contact

    My experience level: newbie

I’m using the “Easel” template and the Contact Form 7 Plug-in. Everything on the contact page looks good in firefox (black text, white text input area). However in IE8, both the text and the text input area is showing up black in 3 of 4 places. I’ve used the “inspect element” method to try and track down the conflict, but I’ve come up empty. This probably due to my lack of coding experience. I’ve looked for similar threads, but found nothing that gets me any closer than what I’ve decribed. Some help would be very much appreciated.

Ok, the newbie figured it out for himself (though it took waaaay too long) after finding a few lines of code in style-default.css that we re specific to IE (whodathunk, right? – Honestly, in my naivety I am disappointed that one has to code differently for variations in browsers. Talk about tedious.) Aynway. Thx

Use Firebug for Firefox, it’s a tool that will allow you to point and click inside the web browser to find what css and html elements are used at any given place.
