I’m setting up a blog for multiple users to read. Some will be internal — meaning they will have access to any private entries — while most will be general, reading only what’s put up as public.
Unfortunately, signing in to see private material involves first going to the dashboard, then clicking “view page.” Is there any way to log into WordPress with a reader’s only distinction with private messages able to be read without first going to the dashboard.
In other words, can you log in and be on the main blog page immediately?
I’ve added Role Manager, but I can’t seem to get it to work this way. If I’m not mistaken, the earlier versions of WP (with “user levels”) sent you to the main page instead of the dashboard.
