# EAN Needed

 * I have noticed in the WP Lister for Amazon tutorial it states at the bottom of
   the section
 * > List new products that do not exist on Amazon yet
 * it states:
 * “Additionally, each new product needs to have either a UPC or EAN provided on
   the edit product page.”
 * This is not the case for businesses that have brand registry, i.e. they customise
   products such as t-shirts

 * Yes, you are right, but the majority of sellers are not brand registered, and
   we have a FAQ covering what to do for brand registered sellers: [I have my brand registered with Amazon and am allowed to omit UPCs / EANs when listing new products – but I still get errors when submitting a feed.](https://docs.wplab.com/article/63-brand-registered-with-amazon)
