• I did a search on this, but didn’t really find a conclusive answer as to whether this is actually possible.

Is it possible to create a blog which would be comprised of 5 or 6 different pages in addition to the index. Each page displays only posts from a certain category, and each page looks differently [a different theme? or just separately designed pages].

For example, page 2 displays only posts from category 2 and has design #2, page 3 displays only posts from category 3 and has design #3… etc.

Is this possible? If so, how difficult do you think it would be to implement? In very general terms, how would this be done?

[This is just an idea I have at this time. I’m wondering about the general direction I should take, so no need for in-depth how-to’s right now.]

    Thanks for any ideas!! 🙂

  • It’s quite easy – when the Codex will be back (see: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/39069 )
look for category templates. You can have different templates for every category of yours, like: category-1.php, category-2.php etc.
There is also a good thread in this forum about the topic:

Category templates… that’s a good term. I think I was thinking more along the lines of “pages” and hence my inconclusive search results…

You’ve pointed me to something that seems very helpful; thank you so much for taking the time to help!!! Have a great day!
