# E-mail Settings: Gmail

 * Hi,
 * For some reason, I seem to have set up the How To Send Your Mail: Gmail options
   correctly. However, when I try to send a test email, I get the error: “2014-11-
   12 03:10:29 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection refused (111)
   
   SMTP connect() failed. Error sending mail”
 * Any suggestions?

 * Also, upon activating the plug-in, I know get odd text added to my navigation(“
   Newsletter Signup Confirmation” and “Newsletter Unsubscription”) I cleary do 
   not want this text to be here… How can I fix this?

 * Please confirm you have entered the correct port number?
 * Those pages can be removed by going to your ‘Menus’ under ‘Appearances’ and remove
   the two pages from your navigation.
