I was able to load everything through the web PI including creating a database and setting the password. On the next screen when running the install.php, the page is visible but when I choose a blog title and enter an e-mail address it loops back and states “ERROR: You must provide an e-mail address”

This is my second attempt to setup to setup WP on this machine. The first try worked properly but did not load into the directory I wanted so I removed the listing from IIS web sites and deleted the directory from the wwwroot directory.

I’m unsure why things aren’t working properly the second time through?

Thanks samboll, thats a great walk through but my problem occurs at step #2 in the “Setup and Configure the Application” I get screen #2 but step 3 never happens.

I enter my email and blog name and it never goes to the next screen that gives me a temporary password. It just goes back to screen 2 and says “error: You must provide an E-mail address” I have tried different email addresses and different blog names all with the same result.

Going to try removing wordpress and any registry entries then reinstall.
