E-Mail is sent twice

    Hello,

    I have a little problem with your otherwise fine plugin. When I send an email, it is delivered twice. It also has different Message-IDs but otherwise the same content.

    I have reCAPTCHA v3 activated as an integration, and Honeypot for CF7 by Nocean – however, the latter, I could already debug, is not the issue because mails are sent twice too if this plugin is disabled.

    I don’t think the configuration is off. From and to is the same email-address (so it would not get eaten by the spam filter), the sender’s address is added to an additional header “Reply-To:”, and the “E-Mail (2)” is disabled, so no auto-responder.

    I am willing to go above and beyond to debug this, just tell me what you need to know 🙂

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet, Classic Editor, Classic Widgets, Wordfence, and Yoast SEO.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    Hello,

    ok so I played a little bit and I am a fair bit further. So we can cross out all plugins I am using. It is related somewhere in the theme. Because Twenty Twentytwo does send the mail only once.

    But where would I dig now to find a possible issue?
