E-Commerce plugin question

Hi,
I am very new to this and am hoping you can help me. I have downloaded the latest version of WordPress and Ecommerce. When I went into my admin page (all is being hosted by GoDaddy), the page looks like the blog page and not ecommerce. I do see the area for the ecommerce plugin, but I am confused as to how to get themse selected and to start inputting product information and products including photographs of these products.

Should I be continue to see the blog stuff even though I am trying to use ecommerce?
