E-commerce Headway, shop column width is too wide, how can I set this? (7 posts)

    Hi guys, I need some help, I am losing my mind!
    I am working on a website for a friend and I have never set up a online store before. I am using headway themes, and have the E-Commerce plugin. On the store page and the individual product pages the column is wider that what I want, and is overlapping.

    How can I set the store so that it fits within my column?
    I'm not the best at custom CSS code so please help in simple terms!
    Many thanks in advance!

    I'm sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme's vendors.

    Thank you for your reply? Is the issue with the theme rather than the e-commerce? Because the theme has the correct setting as far as i can see :(

    It's not fair to probe forum volunteers for support, whilst paying for support services from your theme's vendors.

    I'm new to this, teaching myself as i go along, didn't know where to Ask for help. Guess I'll see if someone from headway themes can help, but I didn't think it was a theme issue.

    If it's any help, the problem is essentially this: The main center column width is set here:

    .grid-width-12 {
        width: 460px;

    But the div containing the products (which is inside the above div) has a width that is wider -- set here:

    #grid_view_products_page_container, #content #grid_view_products_page_container, #content #list_view_products_page_container {
        line-height: 1.2em;
        position: relative;
        width: 650px;

    Hence, the products are overflowing into the sidebar area (underneath it).

    As to how you change that is a very theme-specific issue. Just changing the CSS code MIGHT work, but it might very well also screw up other things on the site. So definitely ask the headway people for help on how to use their grid system.

    Hi, thanks for reply, have decided just to widen column as the easiest solution!
    Thank you for your time :)
