E-Commerce for WordPress

Hi there,

I’m wondering if I could get explained a little bit about the best way to incorporate a shopping cart and purchase function into WordPress.

Specifically, about purchasing an SSL certificate for my domain and having the entire purchase process happen within the confines of my domain?

I’ve seen and played with a lot of plugins out there that do all the registration and inventory side of things on WordPress, but when the final purchase button is pushed it redirects to an outside merchant service, like Paypal, Shopify, Yahoo! etc.

Is there a way so that you don’t have it go away from your site? Or is it not worth the trouble of buying an SSL certificate and so on.

I’d really like your advice and opinion on the two options.
