  • It looks like some pages are by categories and others by page id? I think it is Russian( Ukraine ?), your blog, so a bit difficult to see what is going on.

It looks like it can’t find the the checkout page. Do you have a checkout page? Please try to edit your checkout page and tell me what is the title of the page. Is it a page or a post. If it is a page how did it get to the bottom of your menu?

Did you do any changes before this occurred?

    Thanks a lot Peter,
its slovak blog. I created 7 categories an 2 pages.
The Pages are just general infos about online store, the categories are actual offered stuff.
I did not create checkout page, I thought its created by default.
In the store settings there is the checkout set on default form
I didnt do anything prior to this. How do I reset whole pugin?
    Thanks again.

What is the plugin you are using? I can look at the plugin and tell you what needs to be done. But it looks like you may have to reinstall your plugin because the checkout page (or post) is missing. If you had installed it previously, try to uninstall and delete the plugin then install it and activate it. There should be a set up page for you to define some configuration settings.

Let me just add up here that the plugin is e-Commerce 3.8.8
I will delete and reinstall the plugin and I will let you know whether it works. Thanks a lot.

I checked and there are many e-commerce pluggins with that name. Who is the author / developer?

Where and how I set the page call? Thanks

Mukesh27 may know a lot more about this product but when I looked at it go to your admin panel under Settings >> Store then you will see a top folder like menu: General Presentation Admin Taxes Shipping Payments Checkout Marketing Import

Select Presentation menu you will see towards the bottom of the page Shopping Cart Settings. Here you will have to select whether the shopping cart shows radio button to select Page or Widget. When I looked at your site it did not appear to have sidebars. I think your sidebars are empty – no widgets set up or your Theme does not use widgets(? cannot be). You could set the options to Page and save. Then go back and check your website and see if a new page appears in the menu. In my case I have a “Products Page” in my main menu (on my test blog).

I found out that they have a support forum at http://getshopped.org/forums/ and loads of documentation at http://docs.getshopped.org/ looks like a very interesting product.

    Thanks peter,
In the theme I choose left side bars: “Dievčatá=Girls” “Chlapci=Boys” /those are my categories, and “nakupný vozík=shopping cart” If you look at my index page:
http://dexxtra.eu/detska-moda/ at the left menu, at the bottom is my shopping cart=nakupný vozík and there is a link:naštívte obchod=visit the store it also gives me “404 page not find”
In the store setting-presentation i have: page, widget and manual possibility. I tried page and widget, but still I get 404 page not found sign.

The 404 error indicates that the page could not be found. Either the URL for the page was wrong or the page was not created are possible reasons.

I have set up the e-commerce on my testing / experimental blog site at

    http://drpetersnews.com/test/blog/

I do have two categories under the e-commerce and the shopping cart page does show up under Products Page >> Checkout. But I could not get it to show under a widget (ie not as a page but as a widget as you have done). So there are one or two possibilities (I am not sure if they are correct).

    1. I have set permalinks Settings >> Permalinks click on radio button ‘postname’ so the page names do not show as ?page_id=XXX but uses the title of the page / post. I am not sure if this is related to the problem, but we can see if the checkout page does appear.

    2. In my test blog I am using the Twenty Eleven Theme and I had to add the widgets in the widgets page to the main sidebar of the Twenty Eleven Theme. Did you add the widgets into your side bar?

    3. I could not get it to do what you have done – that is only have it in widgets in the side bar. There appears to be a theme related issue here. Can you change your theme to Twenty Eleven and see if you get a better display and if the checkout page appears. If changing the theme does work then you may have to find an alternative theme.

Let me know what is the out come

    Thanks Peter,
    1. I set the permalinks to /%postname%/ and guess what? 404 not found sign disappeared, there is just blank page.
2.On the widget page were all widgets, I just moved shopping cart to left sidebar
3.I changed to the suffusion theme, which works well with e-commerce and still no checkout page.
4.I have created a checkout page and put it in the menu, then I set at presentation radio button to page, still no success.

It looks like e-commerce has some incompatibility with certain themes. Try this

    1. Uninstall the e-commerce

    2. Change your theme to Twenty Ten. This is very basic themes and if you have problems with this theme then there is a problem with the plugin. E-commerce latest version is 3.8.8.1 … I think.

    3. Set permalinks to /%postname%/

    4. Then install e-commerce

If that works back up all your files and the database.

Before you go back to your original theme try Atahualpa Theme and see if it works with that theme.

I just checked the e-commerce site and this is the message they provide “If your theme has been specifically designed for WP e-Commerce and it is not working, common problems may include broken checkout page functionality and broken add to cart buttons. The main reason for this is that the theme was designed for 3.7 or earlier versions of Wp e-Commerce. Contact the author of the theme and ask if they have a 3.8 version of your theme.” at their site at http://docs.getshopped.org/category/themes/

That means you will not be able to use your current theme.
Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks a lot Peter,
I have deleted whole wordpress and reinstalled new one. I have noticed, that in the permalinks I can NOT pick custom structure=/%postname%/
When I set it to custom structure and I push save buttom it jump up and save the line above /article name/.
Maybe problem is here: In the root directory http://dexxtra.eu/ I have a wordpress too and I share the database /wp,wp1/. Here I also can not set in permalinks custom structure. I have it on default.
First I should sort this thing out? Why I can not set the custom structure?
