Dynamically changing sidebar content plugin?

Hi all,

I need a plugin or tutorial that enables me to create a sidebar area with a photo and a testimonial text/signature beneath it that fades out to replace it with another photo/testimonial and so on. I thought it would be easy to find one but I have found everything else in the universe except a basic jQuery/Mootools-type DOM switcher for the sidebar. Does anyone have any leads for me to plugins/tutorials/posts on blogs that address this issue? I would really appreciate the help! -c-
