    Hi,

I posted in an earlier thread this week which was wrong place – so starting a new thread. I updated to new WordPress and BuddyPress install (eradar.eu) and the plugin seemed to fail by revealing all widgets.

I’ve now done a reinstall from backup late last week and everything fine again (haven’t yet updated WP or BP) as couple of other plugins I want to check first. For now, my question is:

Is there a recommended upper limit on the number of sidebar widgets the dynamic widgets plugin will manage?

I ask the question because I am running a number of widgets in the sidebar and want to exclude the possibility that using too many caused the plugin to fail (which, of course, may not be the fault of the plugin!)

    Appreciated and thanks

    Will

There is no upper limit known actually. However, you probably will notice some slowing down of page loading the more rules you set.

I’m wondering why DW seems to fail by showing all widgets. That would mean it goes into failsave or has no clue which page is being requested.

    Hi Qurl,

Thanks for letting me know regarding the upper limit – the slowing down issue is expected so thanks for confirming.

Let me keep an eye on the failure issue for the moment. Everything seems to be working though I am using the last versions of both WordPress and BuddyPress for now. I just want to eliminate a couple of other issues which may be the problem… I’ll report back

    Regards

    Will
