The dynamic slider with the generator is amazing!

    https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/88-generator-functionality

The functionality is explained there, but what is missing there is the section “Customized variables” which I do not understand at all.

There are 2 fields… and what I want to reach that only post from 04/2018 to 06/2019 will be shown in the dynamic slide.

What do I have to place in the left and what in the right field of the “Customized variables” section and for what is the 3rd element, the “date function” drop-down?

    Hi @hatschiii!

I’m sorry, but we don’t have an option to set two dates to only show posts between them. The only date related filtering option is the “Order – post date or modification date”, which can put all the posts in order based on their creation or modification date to show for example your latest posts.

What you could do is, that when you are creating your dynamic slide, then at step 3.:
    https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/139-wordpress-posts-generator#tutorial
choose Posts by IDs. Here you can enter the ID of each of your post, what you can find in the url of the post:
    https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/wordpress-page-id-post-id-2.png
so if you don’t have too many posts between those two dates, you could manually write their IDs down.

The “Customized variables” was made to modify how your date is displayed on the dynamic slide at step 5., so this is a different option from what you need.

The line you see there is not really filtering, just we didn’t put them into a separate row. This is just about what you see in for example the “View records” under the variables, that by default the creation date might looks like:
    2019-01-12
but you can modify its display to be:
    2019/01/12
    or:
    2019 jan 12.
    etc.

So I’m sorry, we don’t have a filtering option between two dates.
