# Dynamic Menu Links

 * Hello,
 * Like many developers I work on localhost before publishing my site to the web.
   In fact I work on localhost then publish to staging.mysite.com then to mysite.
   com.
 * When creating page links in the Mega Menu, the reference is stored statically
   in the database which means when I first publish to staging, all my links refer
   to localhost i.e. localhost/myPage instead of staging.mysite.com/myPage. I can
   fix these by going in and re-creating the mega menu. However I have to do this
   again when I move from staging to production.
 * As you can imagine this get extremely tedious and frustrating. It also means 
   I cannot promote the site without downtime as recreating the mega menu can only
   be done after promotion and means there is a period in time when all the links
   point to the previous environment.
 * So my request is fairly simple – can mega menu use dynamic links rather than 
   static links so that the siteurl is inserted dynamically regardless of the environment?

   and that’s the work around I’m using at the moment but like I mentioned it is
   tedious, especitally when there’s a large menu, and it requires downtime.
