Yes you can use a gif as long as you change the dimensions under the Header settings tab to exactly match the dimensions of the gif otherwise when the image editor is invoked it will strip all the animation out.
Now, what I do to customize the header image is to change the image (eg “Technology.jpg”) by another image with the same name, the problem is that now the name can not be the same, because the extension are. “gif” and no “.jpg”. Where should I change the value to take a gif not a jpg? Do you understand the question? Thank you.
You use the Custom Header function of WordPress to replace the header image. There is a setting for header height and width under the Techozoic Settings page under the Header tab. Adjust the sizes to the exact size of your gif image then use the Custom Header.
Is it possible to do a dynamic set of images similar to what I have on this website: http://studio-one.us/services.html
within wordpress? And if so, can someone point me in the right direction.
What I’d like to do is have those images loading dynamically over time, so that a page refresh is not necessary to have new images load.
And yes, I know that the current page is not running wordpress, but I am working on updating the site so that it is.
