Dynamic content widget: Pinning content to static homepage

    I’m trying to customize my wp site. I have used a static page for the homepage. I would like to pin content to it (design my own so less blog looking)

    such as shown on this website

    has anybody used the dynamic content widget? – it would be good to know others experiences of this plugin

    I’m a novice so working with code takes me awhile

    does anybody know of plugins that could be used / or a simpler way round doing it?
