• I’ve translated the phrase “Search Results for: %s” for “Resultados da busca por: %s”, turns out that if the page was styled by the new Elementor theme builder, it wont works. Can you guys support this?

PS. All the other features are working normally, only dynamic content doesn’t.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Loco Translate is a PO file editor. It cannot change dynamic text stored in the database.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Actually I was talking about dynamic content titles, not the dynamic content itself.

like: Archives, Search Results For, Author etc.

Loco does works with this translating the theme. But when the pages are styled with Elementor, it pulls the original words, not the translated ones.

When in contact with Elementor support, this was their answer:

    Hi Rodolfo, thanks for updates.

I see in our system that we were already checking this plugin if it is compatible but unfortunately, some of the features that we have released with the latest updates seem like doesn’t supported by it. I think the ball is on the plugin author field now.

    Best regards.

Could you do something to work this out?

    Kind regards.

I’m not clear on what you’re asking me to work out, but if Elementor uses PO files then Loco Translate will work with it. This is the standard way that themes are translated in WordPress. If they’re doing translation in some other custom/proprietary way (or caching blocks of text in the database) then no PO file editor is going to work.

I really don’t know how to explain this any better, because I’m not an specialist in this topic. All that I know is this plugin used to translate everything in my theme, even if the pages were styled/builded on Elementor, but when I use Elementor to build pages with dynamic content, the text the goes with the Dynamic Content doesn’t work, if the page isn’t styled with Elementor, the translation will work normally.

    Ex.

Search results for: (dynamic content (%s))
    translated to
Resultado da busca por: (dynamic content (%s))

On the theme pages will work ok, on Elementor styled pages wont work.

You are explaining it just fine, but I don’t have a third way to say the same thing.

    Elementor styled pages wont work.

Understood. But what are you asking me to fix?

My plugin is a PO file editor, so your Dynamic Content cannot be translated using it. Your plugin vendor may say the ball is in my court, but unless they follow WordPress internationalization standards I will not be supporting their custom functionality.

I appreciate the time you took to explain it, I understand that there is nothing you can do.

    Tks.
